A pre-application with Sacramento County shows Sacramento’s SKK Developments contemplating a more suburban project after several recent ones in the urban core.
Antelope Apartments, also called Apartments at Barrett Ranch in the application, would be a 273-unit project on 10.3 acres in Antelope’s Barrett Ranch East development.
SKK Executive Vice President Al Esquivel, listed as the project applicant, did not return a message seeking comment Thursday.
According to the application, the project would be on the northwest corner of Antelope Road and Don Julio Boulevard.
“The proposed project is allowed by right under current zoning, subject to approval by the Planning Director,” the pre-application states as a justification for the project. “Furthermore, additional multifamily housing affordable to all income levels is needed in the unincorporated area of Sacramento County, particularly in the Antelope area.”
