Sotiris Kolokotronis was appointed by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors to the Sacramento Sports Commission and has served on Chairman of the North State Building Industry Association Infill Council.
Since moving to Sacramento from native Greece in 1985, Sotiris has been involved and supportive of many civic, cultural, political and philanthropic organizations. He is currently serving or has served on boards of:
He is also active in Leadership 100, SACTO, Folsom Economic Development Corporation, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church. His fundraising activities have included American Lung Association, Breathe California, B Street Theatre, Crocker Art Museum, Center for Fathers and Families, Group 7, InAlliance, KVIE, Nonprofit Recourse Center, River City United Soccer Club, Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery, Sacramento Library, Sacramento Theatre Company, Sacramento Tree Foundation, St. Hope Academy, Shriner’s Hospital, Francis House, San Juan Soccer Club, Urban Design Alliance, St. John’s Shelter and WEAVE.
Sotiris earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Athens, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and was the 2006 University of California, Davis School of Management Executive-In-Residence.
